A new milestone has been achieved today!

Toukir Hossain has successfully reached the summit of Mount Lobuche (6,119 meters) entirely SOLO, without any Sherpa support! This is a new milestone in the mountaineering in Bangladesh.

A new milestone, Toukir is at the summit of Lobuche entirely solo, without any Sherpa support!

Mohiudddin Mahi, the founder of Rope4, made a sudden decision for Toukir to leave Dingboche for Chukhung at 8:20 AM on October 12. From there, he began his journey towards Lobuche High Camp with equipment at 10:56 AM, arriving at the high camp at 5:37 PM.

At 2:20 AM on October 13, he commenced his summit push completely alone. Overcoming numerous challenges, Taukir reached the summit at 7:36 AM, and the milestone has been achieved, he proudly hoisting the flags of Bangladesh and Rope4. This make Taukir the first Bangladeshi to solo summit Lobuche Peak this year.

This marks a new record, and we are eagerly anticipating more records to come. The Rope4 family takes great pride in him and wishes him every success in his endeavors. 

Toukir has effectively led teams to Annapurna Base Camp, Everest Base Camp, and Island Peak. He was the recipient of the Mission Himalaya 2022 scholarship, an annual youth development initiative organized by Rope4.

Toukir is an Engineer by profession and a Mountaineer by passion. He is an active, optimistic & dedicated human being who takes up responsibilities with utmost enthusiasm and commitment. By participating in the Rope4 Mission Himalaya project, he has become a regular contributor of this platform. A very charming personality Toukir loves to read books. His passion on travelling made him an explorer and which took him to an altitude of 6000 m in the Himalayas twice. Toukir has a very strong connection with his educational institutions and the young people of his surroundings. He is responsible for the youth engagement in Rope4 activities.
